About this Site

This website was originally established in 1998 following a successful trip to the Holy Land, the land once ruled by the ancient King David of Israel c.1000 B.C. His name inspired the name of this site, and the content was originally just a travelog of my time spent in Israel and Jordan. That information is still on this site.

Since then, the site has been expanded to include other items of interest, my subsequent trip to Israel in 2001, a small section on books, links to other sites/blogs I have set up and other sites of interest. A list of links appears at the bottom of this and most other pages.

As of writing this, August 2008, I am still updating the site (yet again) with a slightly new design and hopefully more information and useful items for visitors. If you think there is something missing from this site, or wish to make a comment, do not hestitate to contact me via the contact page. If the contact page does not work, it could be that you have scripts blocked, in which case you should enable scripts. I personally enjoy using Firefox web browser, which can be customised via extensions, including the NoScript extension. The NoScript plug-in is very useful in blocking harmful scripts, especially useful as there are sites out there which can deploy viruses/spyware on your computer in one click. But here at www.kingdavid.org, we do not use much in the way of scripts, certainly nothing that would harm your computer. It is safe to allow scripts to run from this website.

After a recent visit to Denmark, I have set up a mirror site on a Danish webhost (One.com), at www.king-david.dk, which has started out as having the same pages as www.kingdavid.org, but as time goes by will more and more customised to offer an alternative version of the site, with some text in Danish.

I hope to expand the site more as time and resources permit. I hope you enjoy visiting the site and can benefit in some way from your visit.
